So y’all know I live by the “less is more” motto when it comes to the ingredients and products I use on/in my body. This facial mist consists of only 3 ingredients! You know when it gets so hot in the summer, and you just want to sit in front of the refrigerator all day long? Well, I created an easy, organic, and cheap facial mist that will feel like a dream when you spray it on your face with an amazing cooling sensation. Oh, and it cost pennies on the dollar to make, what’s not to love?!
What you need:
- A glass spray bottle (I bought these from Amazon)
- One organic cucumber
- 2 bags of organic Chamomile tea
- Purified water
Instructions:
- Steep your two bags of organic Chamomile tea in hot water for about 5 minutes. Let your tea cool completely.
- Juice your organic cucumber. You can throw away the pulp, or save it and use it for anything else you’d like.
- Use equal parts (1:1 ratio) of your cucumber juice and tea to fill the spray glass bottle.
- Keep your facial mist in the refrigerator for that cooling sensation when you spray it (heavenly)!
- Use as often as you’d like. I love it after I’ve washed my face and have done my skincare routine, after workouts, whenever:)
*Shake it before use*
I’ve found it keeps a week. Anything after, it may get a little gross!
Organic Chamomile Tea Benefits:
- Is an herb that acts as an antioxidant, moisturizer, and soothes the skin
- Calms the skin
- Alleviates redness
- Relieves inflammation
- Reduces signs of aging
Organic Cucumber Benefits:
- Excellent source of Silica (a mineral that improves skin)
- Hydrates your skin (96% water)
- Loaded with antioxidants
- Extremely hydrating
- Alleviates sunburn
Both of these together work to diminish blemishes as well, brighten dull skin, shrink pores, helps treat freckles, reduce redness, and calms irritated skin. It’s a win-win in my book, especially the fact that it’s SO easy to make. You literally feel like you’re at a spa. The cooling sensation just gives me life, haha!
If you have made this before or made this for the first time, let me know how you like it. I make it all the time in the summer, and love it so much! It’s so jam-packed with amazing benefits.
XoXo,
Devon
