W3ll People & Bite Beauty Products

Over the past 5 or so years, it has become so super important for me to use non-toxic beauty products. In previous posts of mine, you may have heard me say, but there are only 11 ingredients banned in the United States, whereas in Europe there are 1,300!! “Cosmetic” ingredients (minus color additives) do NOT require FDA approval before they hit the shelves. Yes, this means the hair spray, nail polish, deodorant, eyeshadow, lipstick, foundation, blush, bronzer, concealer, mascara, perfume, body lotion, primer, shampoo, soap, body wash, toothpaste, sunscreen, etc is full of harmful chemicals. The average individual uses about 9 beauty products daily, and this equates to about 100 chemicals being absorbed into the body. It doesn’t surprise me that this is allowed in the United States, but that’s a post for another day, hahah.

I was shopping with my sister after Church this morning, and we stopped into a Marshall’s. Lately, our local TJ Maxx’s and Marshall’s have been carrying a decent selection of W3ll People and Juice Beauty products. I normally don’t see much Bite Beauty at all, but today I snagged a few things!

I absolutely love W3ll People, Bite Beauty, and Hans makeup. These are my 3 go-to clean beauty brands! The only brand I can’t find in stores is Hans, so I have to buy it on Amazon. It’s the most affordable of the three, and W3ll People follows right after. BUT, it’s always a bonus when I can find clean beauty brands at TJ Maxx and Marshall’s, so when I do, I always stock up for the prices!

Here’s What I found:

Shade Light 2

Shades Tan 1 & Medium 1
  1. W3ll People Bio Correct Concealer(Light 2)– I’ve never tried their concealer, but I absolutely love how it nourishes your skin while performing well! This is a full coverage liquid concealer, which I tend to like more so than light coverage concealers. I’d prefer a tinted moisturizer or B.B. cream if I want something light coverage. It’s an ultra-lightweight, blendable formula, with a creamy texture. It’s enriched with plant based ingredients like organic Castor Oil, Organic Pomergranate Oil, and Organic Olive Oil. The Castor oil moisturizes and nourishes the skin, the Pomergranate Oil is an antioxidant powerhouse that helps to rejuvenate the skin by regenerating the skin cells, and the Olive Oil has Vitamin E in it to nourish and hydrate skin around the eyes, lips, and nose areas where the skin is more delicate. When I swatched it on my hand, the formula reminds me of one of my favorite concealers by Beauty Counter, Skin Twin Creamy Concealer. What I also love is how there are 22 shades to choose from!
  2. W3ll People Fresh Lines Liquid Eyeliner (Black)– The fine felt tip brush helps for precision definition. Even though it is a clean and non-toxic brand, that doesn’t mean that it won’t perform well. It delivers a high pigment, rich black color. It is also water resistant and smudge proof, so perfect for all day wear! Especially if you wear glasses, or blue light glasses like I do at work all day long, this would be a great liner. It’s enriched with botanicals like Aloe Vera and Rosemary. The Aloe hydrates, soothes, and calms the delicate eye area. The Rosemary helps to keep the makeup look fresh without drying the eye area. I’m super excited to try this liquid liner, as so many I’ve tried dry out and flake after only a few hours of hear.
  3. Bite Upswing Extreme Longwear Liquid Eyeliner (Black)– The fine felt tip allows for precise application as it glides on effortlessly and smoothly. The dip format gives an ultra-pigmented jet black color. It’s infused with Passionfruit extract helps to nourish the skin while preventing the liner from flaking and drying out. Another major hitter is the Fruit-Derived Pectin gives you an easy and smooth application.
  4. Bite Changemaker Flexible Coverage Pressed Powder (Tan 1 & Medium 1)– This is a longwearing featherweight powder that makes for a silky-soft matte finish that melts into your skin. This really helps to achieve a natural look! I personally don’t particularly like a heavy look of foundation, rather than I love when my skin “shows through” the foundation/B.B. cream/tinted moisturizer/concealer. Two key ingredents are the antioxidant-rich superfood Maqui Berry and the finely milled volcanic minerals- NOT TALC- to blur, control shine, and mattify. The Maqui Berry is antioxidant rich and helps to nourish your complexion. It’s native to Patagonia, which is also known to be one of the purest environments on Earth. The Volcanic Minerals helps to blur the skin, and give the appearence of smaller pores. I love how it’s a buildable formula and lightweight, but also allowing for you to build up your coverage to your liking!

Overall, I’m excited to start using these products and test their performance. I’ve used different products from all these brands, and am always impressed, so I have high hopes for these. If you’ve ever used any of these let me know your favs, and any of your clean beauty recommendations. There are so many other clean beauty brands out there that I haven’t tried, and I love learning about new Clean and Non-Toxic beauty brands. I always love a good reason to play with new makeup, and love knowing that it’s not harming me internally! Clean beauty performs just as well as non-clean beauty products, and in my opinion better, as your skin can breathe, and looks less “cakey”. Clean beauty enhances your natural skin. Here’s to clean beauty y’all!
