Finally a Clean Non-Toxic Self Tanner That Doesn’t Break the Bank!

If you don’t know I absolutely love to self tan, like love love. If you catch me without a tan on, then I’d have to be really sick, or something is wrong! I legit tan every week, so this means I go through a TON of self tanner. I’m also constantly trying out new brands and solutions. I figured I’d try out one of my favorite, organic and natural beauty brands. Beauty by Earth is an amazing woman-owned, organic beauty brand, and their facial exfoliator is my fav ever! It’s my ride or die, but that’s for another post! So, I figured I would try their self tanner, and I really like it! I got the medium to dark shade because I like a darker look, no matter the time of year haha! I’m going to create a post about my self tanning routine, but here is the short gist of it.

I showered, scrubbed off my old tan, exfoliated, then shaved. Once I get out of the shower I follow up by dry brushing my entire body. I’ll also do a post about my dry brushing routine. There are so many incredible benefits to it! Then I try and wait a full hour after my shower to apply my tan, to allow my pores to fully close. This way you avoid getting those pesky black-looking dots all over ya. 

I applied three pumps of the tanner to each body part and rubbed it in really well. The solution doesn’t have a strong smell to it either. It’s also not a clear solution, but a very mild bronzer built-in. I love this, as it rubs off less on my clothing after! It barely rubbed off on my clothes too. Another plus is that it drys rather quickly, and is not sticky like so many self tanners are.  

For being an organic and natural self tanner, I am really pleased with the color I achieved. I would say the color is more on the medium side. Personally, I would have liked it to have resulted in a darker color though. Depending on how much the solution rubs off on my clothing determines if I shower to rinse off the bronzer. I did not feel the need to rinse it off and let it continue to develop rather. It has no orange payoff at all, which is huge! I do feel it had some moisturizing effect as well; some self tanners I have found are so drying. So, overall I would definitely buy this again, and really liked the color it gave me!
